Q8 cuts costs by installing solar panels on filling stations
Q8 (Kuweit Petroleum) will equip 53 of its filling stations with solar panels by the end of 2011. Spread over 53 locations, the solar energy installation has a power output of 446 kWp. This equals a yearly production of approximately 400 MWh. This amount is the same as 100 average families in Belgium would consume during 1 year.

The execution of the project will be done by Solairco, in cooperation with engineering firm Nifecu.
By undertaking this project, Q8 does not only reduce its electricity bill, but the company also does decrease carbon dioxide emissions by 115 ton .
