Viking Talk: Calls via 3G or Wifi

Mobile Vikings will launch a new VoIP service, called Viking Talk, which will operate from a Mobile Application iOS or Android. The launch is scheduled in early October.

The big advantage of this new service is that it is multi-operator. In other words, you are a customer of Proximus, Mobistar, Base or another MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator or virtual operator), you can access this new service as all communications will go through the Internet via a 3G connection or Wi-Fi.

If the service sounds like Skype significantly in terms of free communication between users of that service, Vikings Talk can offer very attractive rates. Thus, for € 10, the user receives 600 minutes of communication in Belgium to fixed and mobiles. For € 20, the call duration is unlimited. For € 30, to all European countries. And so if you call someone who also uses the application it is completely free! It is also possible to call worldwide for € 40.

Viking Talk uses the technology of Mondial Telecom and will be launched on 3 October.

There remains some questions such as the level of the additional data that will be necessary for such a service?
